Still working on Lady Violets rug plus Road to California quilt show

Well as usual I have been having a busy time in my crazy life. I  took a bus trip to the Road to California which was so relaxing. Taking a tour bus is the way to go. Then the next event was Hubby and I going camping and that is precisely when I quit having fun. I got the worst cough ever.I could not speak without coughing a lung up.  I sat and coughed in our trailer for five whole days and four nights.

But I tried to look at the positive of my being sick. I was able to at least get caught up on all of my audio books. My husband had a nice time taking pictures of birds and basically had a nice time without me since I could not talk lucky him. So if your going to be sick on a mini vacation sitting and feeding ducks is the best way to go.I stayed away from people so I wouldn't spread my germs and now I feel really good.
Today I got all my camping's laundry done and started getting caught up in my garden.
Here are some quick pictures of my chicken Lady Violet and her rug.

I'm sorry you've been sick. You probably picked the cold on that tour bus. I'm glad you're feeling better.
Your chicken rug looks cute. I'm just picking up the hook again. It's been quite a while since I hooked.

Lucky you for attending that huge quilt show. Wow, $10,000 prize for that amazing quilt. So many beautiful quilts.
Your husband sure took a great photo of that bird.

Take care and stay well.
Hugs, Julia

Sorry you were under the weather but glad you were able to relax and catch up on audio books. Love Lady Violet in real life as well as a rug done in her honor.

Hi Julia and Saundra, boy I had the worst cough for about a week and I think I got better in a week because I drank lots of liquid and took some cough medicine that opened up my lungs. We went with a bunch of people camping but I did not want to infect anyone so I stayed in my trailer the whole time!!
I am going to a dye demonstration on Friday at a museum. It should be interesting.
Lady Violet is my favorite chicken.
Saundra love your little goat rug.
Julia I am glad your getting back into hooking. Hugs cheri

Happy to hear you are feeling better. Five days and a mini vacation is a long time to feel lousy.

Hi Cheri, I'm just checking to see if I missed any of your posts. I hope that you can return to blogging again soon. I miss reading your posts now and then. I hope that you and your family are well.

I have found this winter a bit hard since I fell 3 times on the ice, hurting my right shoulder. So I've been in pain since February. I'm still waiting to retire and I'm getting burnt out. Hopefully, someone will buy all my heifers soon but people are short of hay this year.

Happy Easter.
Hugs, Julia

Oh Julia, I had the worst cough for months til finally I went to the doctor. I have been so busy . I am so sorry you fell down. I don’t know where my time goes but it goes.
Our computer died and were waiting to get a new one so I just use my iPad.

Did I tell you were going to Alaska this summer? I can hardly wait. Hugs cheri
