When all else fails go Hooking!

The Power of the Word.

Have you ever looked back at a situation and wish you had used your words better.
I had such a day. I let my usually sunny Cheri unleash the Kraken!

I am the type of person who usually will be easy going but if I see injustice or loved ones hurt I become a Mama bear. That was my day yesterday a  situation  where someone truly disappointed me . If you ever have had a life changing situation a loved ones  chronic illness you understand the constant stress.
If your lucky and life is going smoothly count your Blessings!
People at times can be so insensitive and  basically be hurtful. Oh well!
So today I am off to go rug hooking with a couple of my friends. Bask in  my kind hooker friends projects, catch up with each other, laugh and  look out at a pretty lake  as I hook to my hearts content.
Another Day and another chance to regroup my inner piece and to be a better person in my life’s journey.

Sometimes it’s nice being in a large group but sometimes you just need a friendly couple of friends to be on your side when your a little blue.

I love my hooking friends and I was happy to get away for just a couple hours to regroup. So to all my blogger friends that had a bad day this week or are shoveling all the snow this week Group Hug! Cheri

I totally understand. I have a big Mamma Bear lurking inside me and "look out" when she is unleashed. Your photos look so pretty. I wish that was my view these days. :)

So happy you found a group to hook with and can find laughter and peace with them - I know just how you feel - I am so much happier a person now that I have some negative things from a few years ago out of my life - took a long time and there are still those "moments" when I think back but it is a much greater feeling being happy with good friends!

Thanks Joanne, I have several group of Hooker friends and groups of quilter friends. I have realized that regrouping your self with a new focus is the best thing you can do to take your mind off stuff. I just got back from the Country Loft in La Mesa and bought myself a appique crow pillow to work on. Keeping busy and cultivating wise and good
friends can get you through life plus a song and a prayer can't hurt!!

I'm glad you were able to find a boost of goodness from your hooking friends. Nothing like creating to take you back to your "true" self and sweep away the blues. Laughter with good friends is the added balm. Take care!

Cheri, I'm sorry that you had an upsetting day and I, like you, have an other side that reveals itself when I have to defend or protect a love one or anybody who are helpless.

I'm glad that you could find some peace with your rug hooking friends.

I'm envious of your green grass. We still have lots of snow and no grass for a long long time yet. Enjoy your weekend. JB

In that beautiful setting I'm sure your disappointment was quickly dispelled and you were content with the friends you have something in common with.
We all need a little escape now and then...
Enjoy your hooking.

Your right Susan, I enjoy this quote by Abraham Lincoln
Most people are as happy as they make up their mind to be. Have a Happy weekend

I believe that, Cheri

I think Most people are good. Today I met with a neighbor I became friends with when I lived in La Mesa. She reminds me so much of my best friend when I was a kid. We instantly became friends. She was sad when we moved back to Crest. I am loving Crest and love hearing all the birds and the quiet.

As we were chatting about our lives and grown kids. One of the neighbors gave me some lemons and mentioned that his cat missed Morris since we moved to Crest. As I get older I do find that I have found nicer friends that just are simply kind people. Were having great weather in California this January.
I need to take some pictures of the color green for all my blogging friends in the snow! Cheri
